Description
For my Nanowrimo this year - which never fully got of the ground, thanks to me being busy with exams and just plain lazy - I began writing a modified story for two of my oldest characters, Harry and Lockjaw ([link]). It was going to be this great, epic journey of two un-qualified goblins involuntarily being saddled with A Very Important Quest by the gods. Lots of snark, light hearted humour and inverted/subverted fantasy clichés.
Since a lot of the story follows them travelling all about the fantasy land I created this map of the Udoran continent a while ago.
Udora was the first continent moulded by the gods and because of that is both the oldest landmass on the planet and the center of worship. the God Mountain supposedly holds up the sky, and it's summit once served as the meeting place of the gods before they retired up into the godrealm. It's top is a sacred place that nobody has set foot on for hundreds of years.
Save Harry and Lockjaw in the story, after royally fucking up their quest and endangering both the continent and world, haha!
Anyway, it was a super fun map to do, though I'll probably to a lot of different versions since it doesn't fully reflect my image of it.
I used a couple of mountain brush packs, of which I can't find the links to. But if you search for "maps" in the brush category you'll probably find them.

Wow.. That is an amazing map! The coloring on the terrain makes me swoon a little...
